Training & Background
After moving to the UK, Mr Shankarappa undertook further specialist orthopaedic training in the Bristol and SouthWest region and was awarded the Khazenifar Gold Medal for the best performance at the M Ch Ortho exam in 1999. He has had specialist training in Germany and Canada in advanced aspects of articular and periarticular trauma management, and in aspects of hip and knee surgery. Mr Shankarappa has worked as a consultant in the UK since 1996. He has been a Consultant at Bedford Hospital since 2006.
